Alexander Hleb - I Like

Alexander Hleb would a step forward for us if there is any truth to the rumours circulating amongst the many so-called transfers of players. And forward is the keyword here of course.

This Belarusian player is supposedly a replacement for Mascherano, a dangling of a carrot in Barca's attempt to land Mascherano. But we know Benitez is no donkey.

Hey, maybe Benitez's approach to the games next season will be different to the ones we have witnessed in the past. Go for the kill -- win games rather than not lose games -- and the next season could well be our season.

But then again, it could well turn out to be just another rumour but I personally would be elated if it materialises. If only we had the money to keep Mascherano and get Hleb too.

Sigh.. now where is the knight in shining armour in the form of an oil sheik I wonder...

Friendly Matches

Liverpool will be playing quite a number of friendly games this coming weeks. For a few previous pre-seasons, we managed to catch a few live games shown on Astro.  I wonder if this time we get to watch these games again on Astro.

Anyways, the games will be shown live on the internet. Those of us who have broadband connection, we will be able to watch the streamings live on the net. Anyone who do not about this but are interested to know how, you can get in touch with me ;-) .

The Return of King Kenny

Kenny Dalglish's acceptance of returning to the club as a caretaker of the Academy and as an Ambassador is wonderful news indeed. Many fans around the world would have surely asked themselves throughout the years of when this legend would be coming back home.

His return marks yet again another of the continuity of the Rafalution. Dalglish, as a former player and manager of the wonderful era of LFC, would be able to contribute for a brighter future of the club as a whole. And who knows, maybe even replace Benitez should it be needed one day.

His remarks after the confirmation, "For the boss to put his trust in me is a great compliment and I am coming back as a very lucky person. When you leave a club you don't often have a chance to return, so I am fortunate for being given such a fantastic opportunity", shows how down to earth the legend is. Maybe the fans in this part of the world would soon get to meet him in person if his ambassadorial post were to include Malaysia as a potential market.

Kenny's return definitely overshadows the latest hot topic of Michael Owen becoming a scum. I guess many fans have still not forgiven him for leaving LFC for 'greener pastures' when we needed him the most. And also for not giving LFC an opportunity to get a decent compensation of his worth when he left for a paltry transfer sum.

Because of that, it is easier for these fans to swallow the fact that Owen is now a scum. Would Dalglish or Fowler have done the same unthinkable thing Owen have done? I would like to think not just because these players have LFC close to their heart and would never think of walking alone.
